Can corrupted photo files be repaired?

Well, you have a rare, if not nearly unique, problem in as much as you maintain they were indeed viewable BEFORE copying and AFTER copying were viewable from the other drives.

I wonder if having some AV that 'immunizes' files would have protected them.

There is at least one virus and possibly more that can affect jpegs. whether this is the problem in your case, I don`t know.

With that in mind, please go and read this thread HERE and post a HJT log as an attachment into this thread.

hvelliott...since I have never seen or heard of the problem you are having, I was just trying to help you possibly figure something out. As is the other people posting here in this thread. But at every corner you come off somewhat arrogant to everyones suggestions. So figure it out yourself! Is that real enough for you?
