Can ping but no internet

I can ping directly to Google with out using an iP address directly connected to the modem and threw the router. Can not access Internet threw ether one. I have unplugged and powercycled everything. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled wireless and ether net cards I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong. When connected to router says no internet On Windows ten. When directly connected to modem it says limited or no connectivity on Windows xp

PING by name eg: www.techspot.com without suffering timeouts proves

• the DNS lookup is good
• and tcp routing out your router, to your ISP and onward is also good

so your symptom is related to

• either a bad browser configuration
• a bum AV {one or more}
  
• or a virus

and typically it's the browser.

If you have more than one browser {every system as IE unless you're on a Mac} try them all and report back.
