Can someone analyze my HJT log?

I got some viruses, that i removed with S & D, with a bunch of other stuff like zone alarm, but i'm not sure if it is completely removed.

also, a quick question about purchasing stuff online. Do i have to worry about viruses or spyware getting my credit card information from stuff like itunes purchases (where your information has already been entered when you created your profile)?

since i can't meet the character length requirements, i'll post my log in the next reply.
 
Have you run hijackthis if so attach it to your next reply also download MBAM and combofix from the links below make sure to install and update MBAM then run a full system scan in safe mode then post the log for that.

Also download ComboFix to your desktop and run it in normal mode make sure to disable any firewall anti virus or spyware protection you have before running it

i'll do the MBAM now. Should i run my computer in safe mode? or is that a setting on the program?
 
alright, i think the scan is almost done, it has found 8 infections, although they're probably cookies. Should I be running Hijackthis in safe mode too? or just regular boot?


btw, i'm on a different computer, if you were wondering about how i could be commenting in safe mode.

meh, i wasn't sure that i was supposed to, so nope. And since it was in safe mode, the log didn't save in the history report so i don't think i can get back to it. -,-. But i have the log saved in my documents, is there anyway i can enter in those files and delete them? one of them was a registry key...

edit: just did another full system sweep: picked up a little bugger that the combofix missed. it was in a quarentine folder for some reason (it was the trojan.vundo thing). Removed that, and nothing else was picked up.

all that's left is the HijackThis log.
 
also, i would put up the combofix log, but its too long. Can I upload it as an attachment, or does it not matter?

edit: i went into my registry and deleted that key. So i'm gonna re-scan those folders for the infections.
 
alright, here is the new, and improved, hijackthis log. the bottom 4 files i can't open from that MBAM scan, but they probably got deleted during the combofix.

First did you set spybot to protect your homepage if so do not remove the item below in green but if you did not set that then remove it by following the guide below

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):

Viewpoint

Please note any other programs that you don't recognize in that list in your next response.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):

C:\PROGRAM FILES\Viewpoint

After that, Reboot, and post a new HijackThis log here in a reply

alright, so i deleted Viewpoint from the program files, but it didn't appear in the Control Panel's remove programs (this is before i deleted the files). I also found a program called Easy Clean, but it appears i used it last on 10/2/2007, so...

In addition, i tried removing MainConcept MJPEG codec, but the screen would blink once, and it would still be there.

Also, i removed a LADSPA plugin, and i deleted Viewpoint from the Program Files.

and my computer is running normally

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

Now we need to create a new System Restore point.

Click Start Menu > Run > type (or copy and paste)

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press OK. Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.

Next goto Start Menu > Run > type

cleanmgr

Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created.

To close Disk Cleanup and remove the Temporary Internet Files detected in the initial scan click OK then choose Yes on the confirmation window.
 
check what log? the combofix? or the hijackthis?

btw, i was planning to get rid of the zonealarm since it doesn't let me forward ports as i please... is there another firewall(free) that i could use that lets me modify it?

edit: and thanks for everything. You really saved my **** there. I thought i got rid of everything....
