Cannon Pixma MP 160 driver for Win 8.1 - thanks!

Just a shout out to Techspot for helping when Cannon elected not to support the MP160 anymore. I recently had to get a new laptop and of course my printer would no longer interface with the new WIndows 8.1 I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Cannon, who wanted to sell me a refurbished printer for $65+

I went to Techspot and downloaded the driver in < 15 seconds ! Works fine !! Thanks again !!

Hi have the same/similar problem..have d'loaded 3 of the so called fixes from the Canon website..no joy!

Where here did you ( or anyone else who knows) find the driver you needed please? Could you post a link. A search here gives me:

which states:
OS Support:Windows (all)

but lower down the same page:
Supported OS

Windows Vista
Windows XP
Windows 2000

I.e no Win 8.1?

I have Windows 8.1 (64bit) and Canon Pixma160..thanks in advance

Update..may help someone else..I found a win7 driver that worked..here:
