Cannot open my Hard disk partition F

If there ever was data on F:, then it was formatted already. The fact that it now shows unformatted is 100% diagnostic of a partition error. Most partition manipulation programs can solve this and get your data back.

The only other possibility is you accidently deleted the partition yourself - it does happen.

hi gbhall you got to be wrong
its not hambal fault sometime this happens when the hard disk volume begins to have some problem,
this is usually a symbol of a defective drive

the sceond reason would be in the problem of the firmware of the hard disk, the only people who can help you now is
the customer care service of Western digital..
