Ok my computer has been fine for the last couple of weeks until recently when i turned it on, i got the dreaded blue screen with the "unmountable_boot_volume" error, ive posted on several other websites asking for help, and after trying every solution offered, have still been unable to fix it.
so than i tried booting to the vista cd, for some reason the driver wasnt there when i clicked repair computer, an i was asked to manually select the driver, i wasnt even sure where to look so i just left it at that an clicked next, an opened up the command prompt, when i got to the command prompt i tried running the bootrec.exe an entering
bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup where it had a _ symbol blinking underneath it, an just seemed to hang. so i restarted my computer, now when i try booting to the cd, it is virtually impossible.
after loading windows files it goes to the windows vista green loading bar an than goes to a black screen, an just hangs there, when i try using the f8 options though
