Cant surf internet with IE8 and Opera 9.52

hello ladies and gentlemen..

i hope this is the right place for me to post my problem.

first of all, i just formatted my pc, and now it runs win XP Pro with SP2..

so, after installing windows and install others software as well,
IE8, opera 9.52 and Firefox 3.5.2.

now, the problem is i cant surf internet using IE8 nor Opera 9.52
before i formatted my pc it was OK..

however, i can surf the net using firefox 3.5.2. which mean my internet connection is fine.
but, if i update my firefox into latest version it will suffer the same fate as IE8.

i really want to know why is this happening and if possible, how to fix it.

another question is, how to uninstall IE8 completely. i tried using remove windows component and add/remove program, but when i try to install IE7, it cant continue bcoz i already has latest version installed(but i already uninstall it??)

I'm not an Opera user so I can't speak to that. but, it's weird that Firefox is working and IE8 isn't, usually ISP's use IE as the control browser.

Have you reset IE8? Deleted history, reset defaults, flushed prefetch, etc. It sounds like a bad proxy setting.
