Can't update to windows 8.1

I have a dell inspiron 3135 and I cannot get it to update from windows 8 to 8.1.

Go to Dell support site and download the proper driver for your computer. For some reason when the update happens from 8.0 to 8.1. It installs the screwed up Microsoft version of drivers.

Bluejolls, what good would that do? He can't update to 8.1 in the first place.

You don't happen to be running an Enterprise version of Windows 8, do you? If so the updater we never released to that version. If you are using Enterprise just get an 8.1 DVD or USB drive and run it while you're in Win 8 - it will do an in-place upgrade. If you're not running Enterprise I don't know what the issue is.

There's not enough detail about the issue to provide assistance. In order to use the Windows Store to find the Windows 8.1 update you have to have a Microsoft account. Anyone who doesn't have one is stuck on 8.0.
