  1. I inserted my game disc as usual but the auto play never came up so I decided to go to my computer and run the disc manually but it told me there was no disc inserted into the drive. I tried several other discs (2 audio CDs, a blank dics and a DVD) and again it told me no disc was inserted, I went to device manager and it told me that the device was working properly and I tried rebooting several times but still it says 'no disc in drive' or 'please insert disc'. Somebody please help, by the way I use Vista.

You can try deleting the device from device manager and rebooting. Windows will load the drivers again and add the device back. If that doesn't work and you've tried known working discs then it may be time to replace the drive.
