My android smartphone won't charge past 84%, why?

Probably using the wrong brand of charger for it, never USE "LG chargers for Samsung phones" plus you maybe using devices on the same eletrical outlet ?

Phone Not Charging? Try This!


Check Cable & Adapter – Use a different one.
Clean Charging Port – Remove dust/lint.
Restart Phone – Fix minor software issues.
Try Safe Mode – A bad app might be the issue.
Check for Damage – Bent port or swollen battery?


Still not charging? Get professional repair!

Try a different cable and charger first, then clean out the charging port since lint can easily prevent a good connection. If it still stops at 84%, also check the battery health/settings, as some phones intentionally limit charging to protect the battery.

It was set so it would'nt charge fully to prolong battery life
