It's not an all or nothing choice. You can still use AI where it makes sense without needing hundreds of datacenters worldwide. Right now companies are wastefully cramming AI into everything - gambling it will get you hooked and will thereby pay off their outrageous investment.

I agree and hope they all go broke over it.
