If I add the Core 2 Duo E8600 to My PC, does it Still remains as a Celeron Processor? Thank U in Advance 4 Your Prompt Responce!!:)

No. The motherboard will never function, as if there is a different CPU installed. It will only boot, if it recognizes the components that are installed.

Check your motherboard vendor for a compatible CPU list.

The Core 2 Duo E8600 is an ancient LGA 775 socket. I have no idea what Celeron you're talking about. All the recent models would be LGA 1151 sockets, and in no way are compatible.

FWIW, Any LGA 775 Celeron ever offered, will absolutely NOT outperform the C2D "Core" CPU you already have in the machine.

If you're a hard core modder, you could always bang a new Celeron with a hammer, and see how that works out for ya.
