Apple must be the most polarizing hardware company out there. Some of their fans act as though they are in a cult, and their haters seem to relish in any negative news the company receives.
This story at face value seems like a nothingburger. We don't know how many Duos have sold, or how many of them are breaking in this pattern. Is the defect rate 0.1% or 0.0001%? Unless you read Apple news with a mountain of emotional baggage, it's probably best to wait a while longer to draw conclusions about the product.
