Go to start -> control panel -> add/remove programs (Programs and Feature for Vista) => uninstall Messenger Plus Cid Sponsor

If you want to tighten up your security and have me look through a log for other infections:

    Highjackthis Instructions
    • Make sure you have the LATEST version of HJT (currently v2.0.0.2) it can be downloaded from HERE
    • Run the HijackThis Installer and it will automatically place HJT in C:\Program Files\TrendMicro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe. Please don't change the directory.
    • After installing, the program launches automatically, select Scan now and save a log
    • After the scan is complete please attach your log onto the forums using the paper clip icon above your reply.

After you do the Hijackthis Scan and Save log.

You would simply come back here and reply to me like normal, but need to attach the log file so...

After selecting reply you can either click the icon, above where you type, that looks like a paperclip.

you can scroll down to below submit reply buttons, and look for manage attachments

A box will pop up -> Select Browse -> Then navigate to wherever you saved the log, by default it should be C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.log

After you select the log click upload

    1) Click Reply
    2) Click paperclip or Manage attachments
    3) Click Browse
    4) Navigate to the log
    5) Click upload after selecting log file

There are a number of small infections on there. Let's start with an Antispyware scan.

Download\install 'SuperAntiSpyware Home Edition Free Version' from HERE
    • Launch SuperAntiSpyware and click on 'Check for updates'.
    • Once the updates have been installed, exit SuperAntiSpyware.

    Scan with SuperAntiSpyware
    • Start SuperAntiSpyware.
    • On the main screen click on 'Scan your computer'.
    • Check: 'Perform Complete Scan then Click 'Next' to start the scan.
    • Superantispyware will now scan your computer, when it's finished it will list all/any infections found.
    • Make sure everything found has a checkmark next to it,then press 'Next'.
    • Click on 'Finish' when you've done.

It's possible that the program will ask you to reboot in order to delete some files.

Obtain the SuperAntiSpyware log as follows:
      Click on 'Preferences'.
      Click on the 'Statistics/Logs' tab.
Under 'Scanner Logs' double click on 'SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log'.
It will then open in your default text editor, such as Notepad.
Attach the notepad file here on your next reply

    Update your Java Runtime Environment
    • Click the following link
Java Runtime Environment 6 Update 6
    • The 5th option down is the one you want (click Download)
    • Check the box to agree to terms of service
    • Check the box for your operating system and click 'Download selected'at the bottom
    • After the install Go to Start-> Control Panel-> add/remove programs (Programs and features), and uninstall any old versions
    • Navigate to C:\programfiles\Java -> delete any subfolders except the jre1.6.0_06 folder

Afterwards run a fresh scan and save log with Hijackthis and attach it here with the log from Superantispyware

Ok, I don't want to overwhelm you with instructions so we will just do 1 or 2 steps at a time. We need to run one more anti-spyware program

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    • Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
    • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
      • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
      • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. please attach this log with your reply
      • If you accidently close it, the log file is saved here and will be named like this:
      • C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\mbam-log-date (time).txt

If you have any problems with this tool, stop what you are doing and ask, it is very powerful.

    • Download Combofix to your desktop.
    • Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    • A window will open with a warning.
    • When the scan completes it will open a text window. Please attach that log back here together with a fresh HJT log.
Caution - do not touch your mouse/keyboard until the scan has completed. The scan will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave your desktop disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore the desktop. Combofix is a very powerful tool so please do NOT do anything without instruction

Combofix will automatically save the log file to C:\combofix.txt

Attach both logs back here for me. Then we are on the downhill side of this thing.
