First of all, when trying to change the volume, using the buttons on my keyboard, i get the following message : The instruction at "0x75606eb5" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

Also with the audio, when I go to the control panel, I can't change any of the audio settings.

Next, my computer is stuck in Windows Xp Classic mode, and in the control panel, there is no other option than classic mode.

And finally, no network connections appear on my computer, yet I can still access the internet.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Thanks!

GENIUS! :grinthumb that worked for me, so thank you very much!

but there is still one problem that remains. I still can't hear any sound, (except for Window's sound effects) and in the Sound and Audio Devices section of the control panel, all of the options are not available.

Well the sound must be working to hear Windows sounds
So it may be as simple as the program that you are using to hear your sounds (Windows media player?) might have the volume down or muted
