Hello, I recently installed my new PSU(Corsair RM 1000) and GPU(GTX 970). I have experienced some problems with it but today my pc didn't turn on at all. You can read more about the previous problems in my Corsair's forum thread: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=135737
I just thought I would post a thread here as well since in Corsair, there is only one person helping me and he isn't always online.
I checked all the wires and they look properly connected.

Here is a couple of images of my pc:

Should I try and return my PSU? Any help is appreciated.

Have you attempted to overclock anything (CPU or GPU)? If you are improperly overclocking, it could cause issues.
Just like mentioned in the other forum, you should look at getting at least 2 fans into your case. One in the lower front to intake air, and one in the back (by the cpu / power supply) to exhaust air. There are arrows on the sides of the fans to show you which way the air flows through the fans, so make sure you pay attention to that when installing. Without knowing for sure (would need to know what kind of computer case you have), I believe you could put two 120mm fans inside. Once you know for sure that you have the fans installed correctly, I would test it and see if your problem persists.

I did not overclock anything. My GPU and PSU are brand new. I don't know how but I managed to turn on my computer after I placed it in a different location. I will be ordering
Corsair PC case fan AF120 Quiet Edition 120mm, 3pin, Twin Pack. (Any suggestions for other fans are welcome)
However, I still think that lack of fans could not cause something like this. My pc was completely cool when it started shutting down and I wasn't able to turn it on for a day. Due to holidays my fans will only arrive at 12-29.

Dezash, as much stuff as in the front of that case SP fans would be better in the front of the case. Although AF is better for the back. and it is not impossible u broke something on the MB when installing things.

Thanks for the response. If it would really be better I can cancel the current order and get
Corsair Air Series SP120 and Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition

So I placed my fans and the heat problem is gone. Everything worked nicely for a while but today I turned my pc on and after ten minutes, it shutdown. I then wasn't able to turn it back on for about 15 minutes. After I turned it back on, it shutdown again after 10 minutes.

But my mobo worked just fine for more than a year. How do I check if mobo is really responsible for this? Guarantee is still not expired. Also, what could have happened to it?

Can you explain why are you assuming that it's the motherboard?
Also, I have a thought that I connected the gpu wrong.

I'm currently using a 6pin cable which is connected to psu in peripheral & sata slot. On the other side of this cable, there are x4 4pin peripheral which connects to the cables I got from the gpu box.

Yeah, I unplugged that and connected a one normal cable. My computer booted in the first try and hasn't shutdown yet. I'll see how it goes later.
