Crashing when Explorer up...

Hi,
I have Windows xp pro all up to date, I have a G-force 7900 GS all drivers up to date, I have the updated version of explorer, so every once in a while my computer dosn't crash it just loses signal to the computer (So the monitor says) and I have to restart? Does anyone have this problem?

Usually a screen issue (ie slowly becoming faulty)
But can be refresh rate in display settings
Can also be any internal settings of the actual screen

Did all work fine in the past, or has it just started doing this recently
Has there been any new or added modifications done to your computer.

actually, I have it hooked up to my big screen t.v. and just realized that it only seems to happen when I have it hooked up to the T.V. Im gonna monitor it while its unhooked from the T.V.! Thanks for the input, Oh and by the way it just recently noticed it since it was hooked to the T.V.
