D: drive

I keep getting an error message saying Space is running out.
How do I move items out of the D: drive to a disk and what type of a disk should I buy to do this.
I don't want the computer to crash. It is a HP Pavilion g7-1139wm Notebook PC and it has updated Windows 10 on it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Specifications for your system include a 500 GB hard drive...which should be your C: drive. We'll get back to this.

First, you can do a 'clean up'.

Then, check File Explorer for each storage device and check Properties for each one.
