Day of Defeat connection timed out

Hi, I need help with my day of defeat and css. I start one of them and join a server and it says '' Parsing game info. '' It says that like 5 hours and then I get frustrated and cancel it. My computer is Windows Vista. I need help please! It hasn't work for a long time and I want to play it again! Please help!!
