I have the dell Inspiron 5674 with the risen 5 1400 I would like to swap the CPU for the risen 7 1700, is this possible by just taking the 1400 out and putting the 1700 in? nothing else has to be done?
No not unless the board supports the new processor. You will need to find out what motherboard that is in your dell . Then find out what processor it supports. Good luck. Most retail computers are picky about changing processors.
