I definitely want this monitor, but I can wait till the price drops.
A good reason never to buy LG again:
Look up Gamers Nexus' newest video on youtube, revealing VERY extensive spying from LG TVs and monitors. They record and send, in plain text, everything the microphone ever picks up from the user and whoever else is nearby. This happens while the display is off too - it simple stores up all data and sends it the next time it has internet access. All content displayed on the screen is also analyzed in detail and recorded, and sent back to LG (and then to whoever will pay for the info). They also collect a surprising amount of info from all networks the TV can snoop on, and all devices connected to them, and the display will try to connect to other devices to gain internet access.

I bought the LG 39GX950B in June and I couldn't be happier... its simply awesome!
(I knew the Dell was bringing out their version but I specifically wanted a matt screen due to multiple bright side windows in my playing environment, so I jumped on the LG when they had a pre-release sale on)
I can say the image quality (paired with an Gigabyte 5070Ti) is exceptional, especially in Elite Dangerous... see you in the black Cmdr!

My LG 38" 3840x1600 UW Nano IPS display has been great, but I wouldn't mind it being bigger - but I'm not sure I want the performance hit of driving a 5120x2160 monitor. That's almost twice the pixels and GPUs aren't getting twice as fast any more.

It does indeed check most of my box’s and things I hated about my lg 45 inch 5k2k. That being it using a more standard sub-pixel and glossy screen. That being said I’m still sold on ultrawides. I want to like them but just can’t. I’m always of the opinion it’s better to just go for a larger 16:9 panel then settle for UW.

It's great I guess. I mean, I have said for a long while now that I will remain entrenched at 3440x1440 until the next 21:9-ish res comes along, and that was pretty much 5120x2160. Here we are. But it will need be more commonplace and eventually, I guess, hit closer to the more reasonable 3440x1440 OLED pricings. Maybe 5-10 years then but we're on the way, yay!
Of course, the other, bigger, question rn and in the forseeable future is 'can I run it'... or more accurately, 'do I have the other necessary HW goodies to run my library on it to a similar standard as I do at 3440x1440?' Not even close, even with DLSFSR or whatever, and not for a while yet, again... in a few years maybe double or more the budget of my last build allowing, and it'll take at least that.
Might just be I end up sticking with 3440x1440, adding OLED or whatever belatedly, and maybe upsizing from 34". Fair enough, or at least a reasonable progression (and pricing) from the 7900XTX should keep up there anyway.
