Great review, Tim! I'm still rocking my AW3423DW that I bought in May of 2022 (over 4 years ago!) and it has zero burn-in - I just checked it now to be sure. I'll be going with Dell again the next time around for sure.
I don't notice the text fringing at all and it never bothered me. I DO wish they had retained the LED ring like mine has on the newer models. No, you don't see it directly, but it subtly illuminates the wall behind the monitor. It's adds a little "mood" when gaming in a dark room and looks cool.
I'm curious to see how long this panel goes before I start seeing any issues. It continues to impress me, and for a first-gen, Dell did an excellent job. So far so good!

5K gaming at 280Hz, yeah sure dual 5090's.
Seriously though, who buys a high colour gamut OLED to use garbage sRGB mode. Why no testing of AdobeRGB or calibrated results.
This monitor is not just for gaming, actually excellent for productivity first and foremost.

Does this model feature the adware installer you reported on a few days ago?
Probably the ultimate 34-inch ultrawide monitor.
However, one thing that concerns me about OLEDs is the perceived smoothness at 60Hz, or even 120Hz. It’s not as good as on an IPS/VA panel. This is a crucial point, because with a 6800XT, it’s often hard to get more than 60 fps at 3440x1440. For the moment, my ultrawide VA is ok.
