Dell latitude won't recognize new ssd

I have a used dell latitude with windows 11 that originally came with w10. I tried to clone the os to a new 256gb ssd but the latitude will not reconize the hdd nor a new 512gb when I installed it internally after a iniliazation and format with Terminal.
