Dell Power Edge T20 Server 2012

I have a Dell Power Edge T20 running Windows 8 with a TSST Corp CD Rewritable RW DVD+ DVD R/RW that won't format or write to discs. I have downloaded drvers from TSST to no avail. Any suggestions?

Device manager - does it recognize device fully?
Can you read from it?
Are you using high quality blanks?
Are you using Microsoft default burn utility or something else?

Seems Windows 8 has issues with recognizing it can write DVDs. This long discussion may help you resolve something, but stories of 6 hour sessions with Windows support does not bode well.

The device manager recognizes it and says the driver is good, seems to read fine and we are using the same discs as always. We are using the default burner also.

So I think the link I gave you might be starting point - looks like an issue with Windows 8.
