Hi I got a new Smart TV for Christmas and I tried to connect it to my Laptop PC wireless. I finally figured out that my laptop does not support Miracast. I thought I would start a thread here on TS and hopefully save someone spending 2 days trying to connect their PC to their new Smart TV. Here's a link using dxdiag that will tell you if your PC has Miracast. Very simple. If your PC doesn't have Miracast, then you will have to buy some kind a dongle if you want to connect wireless. PS Never click on any of the programs you find in these links. It's hard to find a decent link on line these days that doesn't have these PUP's. Be a safe surferand you will be just fine.

iPhone users: the standard HDMI-Lightning adaptor provides the same service - - yep (sigh) not WiFi however.
