I have been trying to disable vista 64 driver sighning so i can install a proxy server. i have tryed to disable it from the f8 boot screen and also from vista boot pro. it is a new hp lap top so i am wondering if hp has fiddled with windows vista so ppl can not install drivers that might damage there hardware they cover. if any one has an answer to this please let me know.

Thanks

Yes but in telling you so, they have also confirmed it's not HP.

Normally: F8 menu at boot and scroll down to the disable driver signing option and hit enter.

Permantely: Run command prompt as administator and type the following
bcdedit.exe -setloadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS and then enter
