I am trying to set up a new computer with Vista Ultimate 32 bit. I have some old applications that will not run on Vista so I tried using the Virtual PC. and loading Win XP Pro. All goes well until I install the Virtual PC additions so that the mouse will freely work between the host and guest PCs and so that I can share files.
As soon as I install the Virtual PC additions, the display settings in the window running XP reduce to very low color and resolution and still the mouse pointer is still trapped. It seems that something is going wrong while installing the additions.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate a reply.
