Does anyone have the drivers for a 3800HGV At&t / 2wire cable modem

I checked there web sites and could not find the drivers there

I only need the drivers when I hook to the USB calbe to the box.

why do people alway want to know why on this site. If someone stops and ask for directionsdo people ask why do u want to go there

Thats different then

You need USB drivers.Probably USB2.
Didn't they come with the modem ?
Why not use the other LAN cable for your LAN Modem ?
Wrong Forum anyway.
Got to AT &T for a start.Dosen't that seem obvious ?
Installing USB2 can be a big headache.
Device Manager will call it "enhanced" if you already have it.
I have them,so what help is that ? Their for my Device.:D

2Wire, ATT, and Qwest all have them... while the tech support people at Cox and Comcast can help.

i called 2 wire and Att and neither have them gave the me the drivers. If you know where i can get them, then let me know

I have the answer...

I'm a U-verse Prem Tech. The drivers come on a CD located in every single RG (Residential Gateway, thats what we call your modem) box. We don't leave the CD behind b/c after doing this for a year, I've only had 1 person have a laptop w/o an ethernet port.

Anyway, 2Wire must be *****s to not even know that they ship the CD (and mount screws, etc) with their modems. As for AT&T, who ever you call isn't going to know about that stuff. Why? B/C they are some rep in an office and has most likely never seen the modem, an installation, etc.

So, call into Tier 1 tech support if you still have this situation and demand that a "prem tech" be dispatched to give you the CD.

Good luck!

Download them

Since you know the device name.

Get the latest here.
Are you posting on that computer ?
You have to be connected to do the above. If so why do you need drivers ?
I have a Cable Modem.It doesn't need drivers.The LAN card does.
XP installed mine.

Drivers

You would need the drivers to use the USB port instead of ethernet (these computers probably are probably pre-Windows XP). Also I believe there are drivers for MACs, maybe for the same thing.

Why guess ***

He's not replying or giveing details.***
If he knows the device name then go there
and get drivers if their necessary.
But you would think with all those students he knows,he would ask them
if they where smart enough to make a disc copy.
USB can probably be converted.
