Download to C drive

I am having a problem with downloading files to my computer because it downloads to my C drive which has only 16gs left but I wish to download to my E drive because it has 300gigs left. How do I change the download from the C drive even though a lot of the downloads go to C://documents? Do I need to buy another computer? I am using xp professional.

Tell which broswer please.
For most you should just change the default download directory.
You can always just move the files.

go to options>advanced options>download location then click "change" button
