Drive for old USB port to increase the speed of pen drive

Sir,
My USB drive(pen drive) is very slow .It takes long time for copying small sized files in to or from the pen drive.Sometimes it also takes time to delete files from the pen drive.My usb port is an old port but can we install any latest driver software for the pen drive which can increase its speed? Please help me sir..

It sounds like your USB port(s) for your motherboard is the old 1.1. The only way you can increase this speed is a BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturer -- if your motherboard manufacturer even provides a BIOS upgrade for your USB ports.
