Hi, I've got a rather simple question, but I still want to know it:

Can a regular (pc) dvd player read/play dvd-dual layer's?

The dvd in question is home-made, if it matters

Well, that's about it..
Thanks in advance,
Marty

Here's a conclusive way to tell...

Download DVDInfoPro and see what it states for
> Your CD/DVD recorder properties as well as
> Your CD/DVD media properties of any media you load into your device

Is free for the 1st 14days (but IMHO is way handy for the $fee as you get unlimited updates and is wayyy handy for figuring out computer vs. CD/DVD hardware vs. media issues whenever they should arise)

After investigating LookinAround's info, I reverse my conclusions... Marty9231's single layer burner will read /play dual layer DVD's. The store bought DVD movies are mostly all dual layer discs

You might have misunderstood,

I have a dual layer burner But my friend, who wants to read one of my burned dual layers, has a single layer reader/burner. He would need to read the dual layer..

Ok, that's what I thought, since it's the same with (tv) dvd players.
Thank you for the confirmation ;)
