eMachines G640

Hi,
I have an emachines G640 laptop, model MS2294.

I was wondering what the mini2 slot is for inside the compartment underneath the laptop. I can see the RAM, Wireless adaptor and the HDD, but there is an empty slot labelled mini2 just wondered what it was for.
