EU adopts Digital Markets Act, possibly forcing Apple to allow sideloading

Sideloading should not be legal in Iphones. It's apple's own ecosystem. If you dont like dont buy or use.

I mean; ive choosen for an Iphone due to it's security, easeness (just being a phone as it should) and not have a ton of metrics or telemetry installed that google phones by default come with.

The appstore provides a higher quality of apps because they have to qualify to Apple's standards. Charging 30% for a service is'nt a bad deal. If your app is good you will outsell and still make profit.

Once again the EU is leaps and bounds ahead of the USA is legislature and with the way our Supreme Court is pushing us backwards we will soon re-enter the dark ages where money instead of people rule.
Laws written only by unelected bureaucrats and a Parliament that that resembles a clown show. My oh my how quickly the EU is to change its tune on the climate change scam when the Russians are threatening to turn off the taps.

For anyone who values freedom and democracy, the reverse is true in both cases. Personally, I've never owned an Apple phone, but they're far from a monopoly, especially in Europe, and they have a right to structure their ecosystem in any manner they choose.
Not really, I'm an European and I'm against the Type C mandate, but giving people the right to sideload whicher software they want is a matter of freedom and perhaps democracy, Apple can suck it all the way to the root.

So you don't care about the thing that actually benefits the user, but really happy for the change that greatly reduces the user's security.

That's 0 out of 2, kudos dude.

Then don't sideload **** onto your phone, genius. It's not hard. Giving people the option isn't going to magically lead to infected apps invading your device out of thin air, or take away your ability to use the App store.
