Making defaming statements because you dont agree with someones politics doesnt really paint you as a stable individual.

Democrats have had multiple chances to "fix" this. They could have done it in 2009. They had the votes, the presidency, and the courts. They could have done it in 2019, they had the votes and the public support. They didnt. Once they got into power, they went right back to the same shenanigans of covering up criminal operations of their friends while robbing the population.

Incidentally, the fact you are comfortable calling republicans "domestic terrorists" without a hint of restraint really does show they're not the big bad boogeymen you make them out to be. People in Afghanistan, for example, do not openly insult the taliban.

To me the initial bill reads less like an expensive healthcare treatment and more like outright fraud. The hospital and its billing system know full well a bill without codes or one with overlapping/exclusive codes would get rejected instantly by an insurer or the government. If I got the original bill I'd want local authorities to investigate if the hospital was routinely making these "mistakes" only while billing individuals directly and if it falls under wire fraud.

Well you are right, one party. The ACA was written and passed by democrats. The subsides were scheduled to expire, by the democrats. All that bill did was hide the cost of medical insurance by having the government pay for part of your premium. Which causes inflation, because the government is not a bottom pit of money.

Exactly how much time should they be given? they've been hemming and hawing about healthcare since I was in high school. I'm 1/3rd of the way through my career. My healthcare costs dont stay frozen while they bounce between lobbyists.

I'm talking about voters and what is currently happening. At least some polls show increasing dissatisfaction with the GOP as a party. Whether that pans out, we will have to wait to see - probably until the midterms.

As an aside - remember when Democrats were set to pass the affordable health care act, and the republicans wanted them to start over?

At this point, it seems as if Democrats and Republicans getting together would be like getting oil and water to mix thoroughly.

Maybe the only way is to contact your representatives. When I had a republican house representative, I contacted her, and it seemed like she could care less about what I wanted. IMO, that's not the way to represent your constituents.

IMO, even "owning" the other party because they are the other party is nearly as bad. That's not how democracy is supposed to work. Each side should be able to make compromises, otherwise, democracy is a joke.

Its also important to ask questions as you are being treated. When I have been in the hospital every time they stick me are do a procedure or send me off for a procedures I always ask what they are doing and why they are doing it so I know what I am being charged for (and if I need to question the legitimacy of the procedure).
