It would be a good start but while they are at it, why not bar all social media? Sadly, there have been so many different crimes & offenses linked to social media, it couldn't help but help. At least give it a try for two years and measure the effect .....

What has Musk done to destroy Twitter? If you mean silencing opinions of people you don’t necessarily agree with on a platform that should be a center of town, then yes… I can see how you might think that.

All speech must be allowed, even hate speech. Why? Because what is allowed today might not be allowed tomorrow.
