Rename the HijackThis.exe file to HijackThis1991.exe This is because new malware is hiding from HijackThis.exe. Post a fresh HJT log.

Download the Vundofix tool from HERE.

Click on the exe file to run vundo fix and right click in the window. Click add more files and coppy and paste these two filepaths in to the two top boxes.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjj.dll

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winrpc32.dll

Click the add files button, then click remove button.

Post a fresh HJT log after doing the above.

Regards Howard :)

It`s got the main one, so it`s looking better. This is a new variant of the virtumundo infection and it`s difficult to get rid of.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial56.html

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {813DDC43-C415-4086-8728-734F902424F3} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjj.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: spoolsvc - spoolsvc.dll (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winrpc32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winrpc32.dll

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Run the killbox.exe file. When it loads type the full path to the file you would like to delete in the field and check the delete file on reboot button. press the Delete File button (looks like a red circle with a white X). It will prompt you to reboot, select no until you have finished inputting the files you want to delete, only then allow it to reboot and hopefully your files will now be deleted.

This is the filepath you need to enter into killbox.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winrpc32.dll

Once your system has rebooted, turn system restore back on and rehide your protected OS files.

Post a fresh HJT log.

This is strange. The jkkjj.dll file is back.

Download and run all four of these tools. Follow the instructions for uing each tool.

It`s important you download them, even if you`ve got them already. This is because they may have been updated.

Run each tool from safe mode, with system restore turned off.

Tool1 Tool2 Tool3 Tool4

If vundofix doesn`t find anything, enter the path to the jkkjj.dll file as before and click remove.

Post a fresh HJT log, only after doing the above.

Regards Howard :)

Sorry for the late reply. Had to do school work.

Everything is gone and I have no more viruses/spyware/adware. I can't thank you enough. You're a genius. Thank you so much.

That`s good news.

If you`d like to post a fresh HJT log, just to make sure, that`d be fine. However, it`s up to you.

Regards Howard :)

Absolutely clean as a whistle mate.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.
