It weighs almost 1100 lbs, and has a top speed of 19 MPH. It is *not* intended to be driven on highways. Did you even read the article?... every other vehicle is basically a 2 ton metal ballast and this thing looks like it doesn't weigh more than 700 lbs ... It's about as safe as driving a bicycle in rush-hour traffic, given all of the massive big rigs, souped-up cars and pickups speeding around on the highway.
