No matter what level of sophistication a user you are, these utilities are invaluable, especially when you are trying to determine compatibility as well as needed upgrades. Considering the price, you certainly can't beat it!

In my experience, 90% of PC hardware questions or problems can be solved by reading your motherboard manual. Side note, I didn't know Techspot provides driver downloads, neat.

Or if you're a Win7 or below user you can just click Start, Right click Computer and click properties.

It brings up basic information like processor type, speed and clock speed, RAM and a few other things. Why complicate what is simple?

Maybe because the title is find Motherboard Brand and Model and your suggestion doesn't accomplish that. Do you read before you post or just want to show your ignorance of the subject.
