As for the firewall....

Download following firewall fix: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/MiniFixes/RestoreBFE.exe
Double click on downloaded file to run the fix.
Restart computer and post new FSS log.

Right click on downloaded file, click "Run As Administrator".

It didn't work.

Check windows firewall authorization driver...

Go Start>Control Panel>Device Manager.
Click on "View" tab and click on "Show hidden devices".
"Non-Plug and Play Drivers" section will expand.
Right click on "Windows Firewall Authorization Driver", click "Properties".
Set "Startup type" to "Demand" and press "Start" button.
Click OK button.

Exit Device Manager, restart computer and see if you can start Windows firewall now.

It was already set to "Demand" and started.

I'm afraid we're dealing here with some system file(s) issue.

At this point I don't have any better advice but to install 3rd party firewall.
