Firefox wont connect to internet

ok this is a real strange one. internet explorere can connect to the internet no problem, when starting firefox it can not connect to the internet. and uninstall firefox and reinstalled it and it still doesnt connect. this connection is on a network.

Sounds like a firewall issue. What firewall are you using on your machine?

Hey, even I make mistakes I shouldn't!

I was working on my former boss' laptop yesterday. Someone re-installed Windows for him but didn't know how to load the device drivers. I installed them all and went to test the wireless card. it kept saying it could detect any local wireless sources but there were as my laptop did. I initially concluded it was spyware and started running AS scans. Then DOH! It's a fresh install so it can't be spyware. I then remembered, the hardware switch on the front edge of laptops! BINGO! Boy did I feel stupid!

It happens to use all!
