Um, aside from missing the point, the Focus still had costs associated with driving other than electricity. Add that to my point that the battery is obsolete, the car is no longer repairable, and the AVERAGE age of a vehicle is 12.6 years, all you've done in re-introduce planned obsolescence, and eliminate the used car market for the people who can lease afford one. I look forward to the day when I have to buy new, or, buy used with half the life of the vehicle already used.
Brother, I just don't know how to respond to all of that, and I'm an on purpose loud mouth who is almost never lost for words. So please forgive me for just glossing over.

Yes, other cost for the focus were non drivetrain related as any other vehicle.
And I admit, in near 2 years with one I did have to replace a cabin filter and the EV battery coolant. No drivetrain fluid\belt\filter changes. No tuneups. No care for injectors. None of it.
EV battery (remans) for the early Focus from EnerZ are $1800. The upper is a bit cheaper usually. The best cells from the 2 are used in the original half that will be kept, and the replacement is dropped in. Or raised in.
Saying its battery is obsolete is a bit much. I mean, it's what it needs. I'm in the middle of my current project, a 1969 AMC AMX, and I picked up an alternator for it. It's massively obsolete, but exactly what the AMX needed.
As I said, the Focus EV was planned from the start to be a low tech puddle jumper. And that's what they were. I had an 18 as a 2nd car for almost 2 years as an experiment with an EV, then gave it to my niece. She is a student in college.
And like the earliest Model S, very few of them are in wrecking yards, and in fact there are many out there for sale used.

And when you said the "car is no longer repairable", exactly what the hell does that mean?
