Many people seem to be having this issue and i've yet to find a solution.
700w coolmax psu
460 gtx se
soundblaster audigy 2 zs
pentium d 3.6 (dual-core)
2x1gig pc2-6400u ram sticks
biostar tp45e mobo
wesdigi 1.5 tb digital caviar green 64mb/cache
dont have a computer "case", its kinda like a stand, shits mounted and everything, gets great airflow
I'm now using Windows 7 Pro 64
Upgraded From WinXPPro64, freeze with both
Though I have got a couple blue screens, freezing seems to be a lot more common. One of the blue screens said something along the lines of PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.
I have 4 sticks of the same ram, can only use 2 at a time with this motherboard, tried swapping 2 for the other 2- still freeze. I've ran memtest86 no prob
Processor never exceeds 41c, usually is 25-35c. (This info is from booting up after a freeze)
switched to onboard sound after unplugging soundblaster
tried a different video card
switched sata connector slot
defragged
drivers dealt with etc...
windows up to date
one question; should I unplug the video card before installing drivers? i normally don't, but i've ran out of ideas.
