game keeps restarting

alrite, im running an amd athalon at 2.18 ghz. with a gig of ram and a geforce fx5200. im playin cs 1.6 and usually in the first 20 mintues or so my screen will go black and you will hear the previous sound being repeated over and over. i cannot ctrl+alt+del or alt+tab and have to restart it. whats up?
