Get redirected to other websites

  1. I get redirected to other websites various ways. I can click on a Google search result or type in the url directly and get redirected to a site that is trying to sell something.
I've used Malwarebytes, Spyware Doctor and even AVG off line scanner. No help. I did the HijackThis scan and I think I see the issue but I want another pair of eyes to look it. Your help will be appreciated and my wife will be happy. :)

I found the problem. It was the hosts file. A lot of junk in there. Cleaned it up and now no more redirects. Also the other problem I had before I cleaned it up was I would get an SSL Connection error trying to go to Gmail.
But it is all working now.

One other thing, I understand why you have the Image Verification thing, a couple of times it was real frustrating trying to read it. I had to keep trying different ones about 5 times the first time I had to do it. I just I would give my input on that.
This is a great site. Keep it up!

You'd have to contact site Staff, regarding the above issue.

I'm glad, redirection is gone, but if I were you, I'd go through prescribed steps to make sure your computer is really clean.
