I am thinking of upgrading my GFX card next week and was wondering if any one could suggest whats the best option? I currently have an Nvidia GTX 275 896Mb. So im looking to upgrade to a DX11 card. My budget is around £200-£250. I use this system mostly for gaming. My specs Intel E8500 3.17Ghz, Asus P5N32-E, Nvidia GTX 275, Geil 4Gb 667Mhz, Corsair TX650 PSU.

Think i might just do that. Was thinking of going for the GTX460, looks like a great card but the specs look quite simalar to my GTX275. except for the slight increse in memory with the 1Gb version and DX11. Would i see a significant speed increse?

yes, the 460 features more stream processing power and with the full gig of memory it will noticeably outperform the 275.

Thanx for the chart Dustin_ds3000. Unless im reading it wrong, and i dont think i am theres not that much in it. 460 scores marginaly better on most but 275 beats it on some. Whats the 470 like compared to the 275? Can i get a 470 for £250? Any take on the ATI competision?

Dustin_ds3000 thanx for the advice. think i will go with the 5870. I see you have your e8500 overclocked to 4Ghz, is it on air? I was thinking about clocking mine. how stable is it? I have an Artic freezer Pro 7 fan and an Antec 900(5 Fans) think ile be able to get 4Ghz from mine?

If your CPU isn't currently overclocked, definitely try and crank it up. I have a Core2Duo 2.66Ghz running at 3.2Ghz on the stock cooler.

Yes i have my E8500 at 4.275GHz with 1.4 volts on air. im using the XIGMATEK Dark Knight with both lapped. I do have to say that my motherboard has helped me get this overclock the most. i was at 4GHz for almost an year until last month i pushed it to 4.275GHz

So is it worth trying to overclock my e8500 with my Asus P5N32-E SLI board. Temps are more than fine when stock, idle 38c/under load 50-54c. Whats the opinion?
