Google acquisitions seem to turn to garbage

That is the view of ZDNET.COM:

here's their evidence:

  • Bought Motorola Mobility for 12.5B, sold it for 9B loss
  • Bought WAZE and has not yet had its app technology fully integrated into Google Maps.
  • Bought NEST and experienced a brain-drain, which included the company's founders -- the ecosystem is becoming 'abandonware'
  • Nest also buys Dropcam and it becomes abandonware
  • Buys HTC Pixel hardware business; year-over-year struggling with pix 3 & 4
  • now Fitbit ... where will this go?

I just read this and I have to ask: When did they acquire Fitbit? The reason I ask is because I bought one for my wife for Christmas. :/

I always learn something from you.
