Google Earth Trouble

I am having a problem with GoogleEarth. I downloaded it and when I click on it to start the program it appears to start but it shuts down my system, right before this happens the screen turns black and blue writing scrolls across the screen before the complete shut down. If there is anyone who can possible troubleshoot this problem for me it would indeed be much appreciated. I thank you in advance.

1. It would help if you give some system specs (e.g. computer make/model, details of your Windows Operating system and version, etc.) You can edit your TechSpot profile and provide the information under system specs.
2. To clarify what you're saying, when you say it shutdowns do you mean turns off and stays off? or does it turn off and restart itself?

Would give you further instructions but need to know your system specs first.
