Start>All Programs>Windows updates

When you're done, you may want post new SecurityCheck log, so I can see, Service Pack 2 has been installed.

Windows Update is not opening for some reason - its kind of freezing up and not starting. I've tried it twice with the same results.

I will try again tomorrow and reinstall Security Check (I deleted it during cleanup a few minutes ago) and post the logs tomorrow or Sunday.

Also, I noticed that "Java Update Scheduler" has stopped working a few times this afternoon. Not sure if that is significant or not.

Actually, re: java, Windows Problems and Solutions has told me to download an update from sun microsystems. Not sure why it would be out of date if i just updated this afternoon.

In any case, I'll take this stuff up Saturday evening or Sunday morning, and I'll be back in touch.

No problem
Java scheduler is not necessary startup and can be safely disabled.

Ok, everything seems good. No redirects or anything.

I removed the java scheduler, and installed Secunia and WoT. Only issue now is that Windows update won't work, but because that is unrelated, I'd say that the original problem is now solved.

I'll look around the forums and see if there are any solutions for Windows Update Freeze-Ups.
