Graphics card update

After doing some research...(I feel fairly stupid) I have figured out that a Ati Radeon Hd 5400 Series graphics card, is not the best for gaming. I got this PC for Christmas from iBuypower. Here are my specs:

CPU AMD Athlon II X2 250
CPU Speed 3.00 Ghz
Motherboard Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co.
Motherboard Model GA-770T-USB3
Ram 4 Gigabytes
Power Supply MaxPower PX-480 (480w)

And I am from the US.

BTW I play games like WOW and Rift soon to be Magicka.

What exactly is your budget for this purchase and resolution you want to play?

I think Radeon 6770 / Geforce 550 probably will be sufficient enough (depending on the resolution) you want to play.

My budget is $150-$200. My Resolution is 1920x1080.

I would suggest you to stick with my earlier suggestions, as your PSU will not be able to handle cards which are better performers than the ones I proposed.

Your PSU can handle Geforce 560 at best, and that too if it meets the requirement of 24 Amps on 12V rails.

So unless you also factor in the change of PSU, the options may be limited.

i think a 6790 would work fine with that psu.

Unfortunately it required 500W PSU klepto.

However, a 6790 + new Corsair PSU will cost just about 200$ in total; which would be a nice choice if the OP deems it to fulfill his needs.

I hope someone else will look into this, as in my view this Antec EA500 is slightly better PSU though and will add only 5$ to overall cost.
