Happy Birthday: Firefox has turned 15

I actually contributed to Firefox (and Chrome as well). I was one of the people to demand they add "mute" on the tabs, so that annoying web sites playing music can be silenced. Before that one would have to kill tab-by-tab because you didn't know which one was playing music.

Despite Google being a spying operation, they were very efficient and they implemented the feature within 6 months since the initial report. Mozilla took 2 years to add the little speaker icon to Firefox tabs.

Another thing I reported (along with many other people) is that when you search bookmarks, it shows you the bookmark folder in which the bookmark was found. Which is very useful (if you use bookmarks). You would think that's by default, but it's not.

Mozilla is actually still struggling with that. Despite thousands of requests (at this moment). And thousands of requests means millions of other people who want the same, but didn't bother to fill the feature request form. There must be at least 10 years since I asked for it the first time, to no avail. I guess they don't know how to properly implement it. Although some independent plugins do a pretty good job.
